Winnipeg isn't rebuilding from what the reports say, so that offer is pretty much exactly what they don't need. And even if they were in rebuild it'd be kind of a weak return.

Forget the trade, agree there is not enough for Jets. But how can they NOT be rebuilding? Indications are Wheeler is done (buyout or trade) this year; Helkybuck, Schiefle, Neideretted, Demelo & Dillon all FAs next year. Doubtful any are coming back so you have to move some or all this off season or at TDL… but Chevy wants to compete this year 🤔

Schenn is looking for minimum 2.2M probably 3years. Why would he sign for that and be expected to play top pairing? He would be the lowest paid top pairing d-man in the league.
