That's because people are being lazy and not paying attention. They think because the Flyers are rebuilding that means they are having a 50% off fire sale. If they would have paid attention at all to the return on the Provorov deal and Briere's consistent messaging they would know they aren't selling players for anything less than a premium.

Name me 1 contending team with a 1st line center on par with or worse than Kadri. Seattle, but I would argue Beniers was a better player by the end of the year, plus they would have depth on their roster which Calgary is loosing here. Minnesota is the only other team that made the playoffs so basically if Calgary were to acquire Marner they could be as good as a first round exit team at best

The Leafs were able to move Mrazek last year, and it only cost moving a late 1st for a mid 2nd. I understand that Murray's cap hit is greater, but Mrazek had 2 years left on his deal whereas Murray only has 1 year left. Curious to hear your thoughts on which assets coming from the Leafs would make this trade work for the Flyers. The Flyers may also be able to put Murray's contract on LTIR, and negate the cap hit entirely.

28 and Robertson works for Laughton. To take back Murray I would want a future 2nd or a prospect in the 6-10 range in the Leafs system. Someone like Moldenhaur, Hirvonen, Voit.
