The caps do not need another LD. Fehervary, Sandin, Alexyev are all lefties. And if they really wanted another LHD, I’m sure they could find MUCH better options than Krug.

It literally is though. Anything more than nothing is positive value, and we are more likely attaching picks to those players, not receiving them.

I don’t think any of these teams would do these trades besides maybe Calgary. In that one - Blues should be sending Scandella other way who they probably could swallow for a year. Also think the extension for Hanifan costs at minimum 7 x 7

This seems to happen a lot that people look at the Caps contracts, miss that Fehervary is an RFA, and assume they need a LHD. Unless they trade him or Alexeyev (I assume Sandin’s going nowhere since they just got him) their D is set.

Also, Dowd’s the only center they’ve got who’s reliable in the defensive zone, so it’s highly unlikely they move him.
