If we traded Nylander for futures I would be extremely upset unless we immediately flipped them for a player of Nylander's calibre.

Unless Nylander says he will only extend in Pittsburgh, this is a terrible deal for Toronto. At least replace the 2nd with next year's 1st to be more realistic. Nylander is better than Guentzel.

Nylander is worth the same as Guentzel. An A prospect and a 1st. Remove the 2nd.

Better skater playmaker and defensively. I'd give Guentzel the physicality and finishing advantage.

I would say their about the same in skating efficiency and speed but everything else I agree with.

Congratulations! The trade is worthy of joining Ron Hextall in the unemployment line. The Penguins need to develop a defenseman such as Pickering to succeed tenured defensemen including Letang. Draft picks are needed to restock the farm.
