Avs would match that. It would hurt them but they'd do it. If you want to prise Byram out of Denver on an OS you're talking silly money.

I mean I get that it's a strong draft but giving us a 2024 1st isn't really going to be of interest because of where the Hurricanes are as a franchise.

Yeah, but you need to temper your expectations cause teams with a lottery pick are probably not in a place to be spending their 1st round pick on a 2nd pairing point producing dman.

And giving us a pending ufa LHD when we have dahlin, power and Samuelsson (and 3 others under contract) isn't really going to.be of interest to us, hence me saying we obviously won't do that. He also isn't worth close to that

I don't think that is a reason he is worth a top 15 pick this year.
He is solid, but not great. He is nice to have but don't need him.
