Nashville doesn’t need another winger, and they aren’t in any hurry to get rid of Johansen’s contract. He’s well-liked on the team, and probably won’t be moved.

Not to mention that after buying out OEL for having a massive contract, Vancouver isn’t likely to get into Joey’s full $8 million deal.

If the Bruins traded Grzelcyk, they'd need a top4 player so OEL on the 3rd pair wouldn't replace Grzelcyk, it would be Forbort.

Don’t get me wrong, as an outsider looking in, I hate that Canucks have refused to rebuild but if they are going to attempt to be competitive, I do like the idea of slotting in a good center at that 3C spot instead of Dries, Joshua or Aman. I just don’t know if it’s worth adding a player with an 8 million dollar tag attached to him to do that.

I think that $8M could be used a lot better than just RyJo. I do like the idea of moving one of your wingers to help open up spots for Pod and Hog tho
