Maybe for a 3/4D, but Pesce is a top pairing caliber dman, who happens to play 2nd pairing only because Rod won’t pair Slavin and Pesce together unless it’s a 5v3. You aren’t getting a top 2 dman for that, particularly when they are a RHD.

It's the same price as provorov and Hronek. Chycrun got an extra 2nd that is three drafts away but he was the youngest and the best of the group. The market is set. Hanifin will be the same too. And Pesce is the oldest of this group and has the most limited offense.

Justify all you want with your homerism but the market is pretty clear.
