In my opinion, I think the jets need a rebuild. Yes they have some good pieces that could help for a run but they have had those pieces for years now and its just a mess.
PIT needs a goalie who can get them a save. Instead of giving Jarry a long term 5-6mill, they should spend some assets to get Helly. He would be good on this team who couldn't get saves at times. A 1st, 2nd, and a solid goalie prospect for 1 year of Connor seems like a decent price for both teams.
TOR would like a guy like Nino. I think his value is normally a 2nd but with 2mill retained and a 4th, giving up a late 1st is a good price to pay for a retained 2nd-3rd line player who can play on the 1st line if needed.
Philly is looking to move Hart for some reason and Winnipeg would be looking for a good young goalie to build a team around. Hart had a great start to his career but fell off a bit. How much of that is Philly being **** who knows but he could be the goalie of the future for the jets.
BOS will be looking to fill a need at centre if Krejci and Bergy don't return. I think they prefer going after Scheiflee over PLD however they could overpay a little for going after a desperate need and a disappointing playoff.
STL goes after PLD who is a heavy centre which seems to fit the blues MO. If st-louis rebounds with him in it he could be interested in staying long-term too. The jets get a 1st, hofer who could be a solid backup or even a starter, a bit of a cap dump in scandella and a 4th.
WSH looking to rebound clears some cap by sending Mantha and a sweetener in an early-mid 2nd.
Jets sign Monaghan to give him a chance and also fill the roster a bit
