i get it, but this deal isn't as bad as others. You get paid to take a decent defenseman in Petry at 4 mil for the next two years to help the young guys on the left develop. I get the outrage with paying anything for him, but to get him retained for free isn't a bad option at all

With Severson off the market this scenario becomes more realistic. But since Yzerman and Dubas don't trade with each other I have nothing to worry about. 😁
