Point is more so that the comps to JAM and V aren’t justified from an analytics side, which knew they were way better than the average bottom 6 player. There’s nothing in the last season to suggest the same from Ross Colton.
There’s also the matter of age. March didn’t play a ton in his 24 season, but his 25 season with TB had great impacts
Colton has had a noticeably weaker age 24 season in Tampa than Verhaeghe had[
Most of what you said was incorrect, and you can spout all the fancy advanced stats you'd like, butbthankfully,.most dont use thatnasnthe dereenining factor in a real trade. JAM had no "great impact" in his last season with Tampa, and oh yes, Colton had a "much weaker" age 24 season than Verhaeghe...Colton, 30 GP, 3 goals, 9 assists, 12 points, Verhaeghe, 52 games played, 4 goals, 9 assists, 13 points. Colton was on pace for 33 points and 8 goals, Verhaeghe, on pace for 21 points and 6 whole goals. Colton has just as much potential and capability to thrive in a top 6 role as either of those two, if he is given the chance. Anyone who actually watches him most of the season and has seen what he has done given his linemates and minimal powerplay time can see that and doesn't need to consult any charts to base an evaluation. Again, in the unlikely event he is traded, it will be for impact players that help Tampa now and work with the cap. Sharangovich is not that player, Bahl+Boqvust or a good F prospect are. Tampa isn't giving him away or accepting offers that make no sense for them, which is all I see from N.J posters on here.
