PLD wants to play in Montreal. If he gets traded to any other team, he will only sign a 1 year deal and then become a UFA. Only way he signs LT with that team he is traded to is if they give him $80M for 8 years

I thought Dillion going to NJD made some sense in the sense of he is a valuable dman that has alot of grit and could provide some protection for NJD young players. With the Blake Wheeler thing I can see him accepting a trade to NJD because they are an up and coming team that has a really great chance at a cup next year. Also it would provide some secondary scoring on the right side behind Bratt. Also add power play help as well. But thanks for the feedback from a NJD point of view.

Yes he has come out and said he has always wanted to play in Montreal. But it has been reported that PLD might also sign long term with a team in a glam city like NY. Also NYR is a win now team and set up to win in the next few years. Montreal is not. They are close but not yet.

Apparently doesn't want to sign because of the ownership issue currently going on, nothing to do with the team. Allegedly anyway
