Really wish we could get back Vatrano. He was a great fit. Plus I’d personally move Miller. Need a stabilizing presence instead of just offense. Personally wouldn’t mind seeing Miller as a winger. Dude can’t play defense at all.

Rangers should just buyout Goodrow - squeeze will not be worth the juice in a trade. Gives the team 4mil to target a true RW or a C that can also play RW.

I get the buyout will be on the books until the end of the 2030-31 season but 1st 2 years you get a little money back, there is only 1 season where the dead money is high (26-27 season). Outside of the 23-24 season with only a 1mil increase (although there are talks that could be bumped up another million), the cap in future seasons is going to go up significantly. Average salary cap increase across the 6 seasons prior to the 2019-2020 season was approximately 2.85 million per season so the dead cap money won't hurt nearly as much.
