Have to imagine ANA could get a MUCH better package for Gibson. Outside of POJ there's nothing great there.

ANA also get more for Duclair.

Anaheim isn't interested in a single element of that package for four years of John Gibson. (If you don't think that he's going to give you that, why in the world would you be trading for him?)

Any Gibson trade starts (and perhaps ends, but certainly starts) with #14 overall. That should cool your enthusiasm right away. The problem with a deal for John Gibson is that due to your awful pipeline, you don't have a single prospect who could be considered a major piece in a big-ticket deal -- not even Owen Pickering, inasmuch as we have Jackson LaCombe, Pavel Mintyukov and Olen Zellweger ahead of him. So the major asset has to be a first-round draft pick. And we have the advantage of time -- being able to wait until the right offer comes along.

Like Duclair. Don't think a Gibson trade would make sense for either side though. We'd have the give up the 1st. Dubas hit the nail on the head in the presser, goaltending is so volatile and tough to predict, not worth it to give up a 1st for one.

I don't see any scenario for a Gibson to Pens trade working out. ANA is going to want a decent return and the Pens won't, and shouldn't, give it to them.

To dumb Granlund, offload DeSmith, AND pay for Gibson it's the 23 or Dubas shouldnt bother calling.
