WPG says... Morrissey and Samberg are not available. Try again on any other Jet.

Can't see WPG ever moving Morrissey and his beautiful contract. I think it's likely we see Morrissey with a "C" on his chest next season as well.

I wouldn't be against taking a flyer on Liljegren for a mid round pick, if NSH had room for another defenceman - but they don't. If TOR was amenable to something around Liljegren for Foote, that could work.

No thanks on Lafferty.

Thing is, it isn't a flyer on Liljegren. He's good, gee he played 18 minutes a game last season. Leafs aren't trading him. Now the other two trades are horribly one sided in favour of the Leafs .

If he's so good, why did he get scratched for the majority of TOR's playoff games? He's certainly not without his flaws, and his offensive potential hasn't been fully realized yet. I'd like to see him in an organization that has a better track record developing offensive defensemen than TOR, to see if he's got more to give.

No idea, but I guess it was the thought of playing the "veterans" especially McCabe...who the Leafs gave up a first rounder for this playoff run.
McCabe was brutal in the Florida series, and Holl was bad for both series.
Brodie, Liljgren and Schenn would have been good on the right side, Brodie was over worked cause he was had more minutes due to McCabe being so poor, and Schenn needs fewer minute. Liljgeren was the guy who should have been playing his regular minutes.
Reilly, Giordano...and one a combo of McCabe or Gustafson. Gustafson another guy who barely saw ice but was certainly OK when he played ,
Wished the Leafs had never traded Sandin (in effect) for McCabe.

Detroit will give you a 3rd for Liljegren. We're declining the offer you made for the AHL player, cap dump, and fringe player.
