Ya I’m the same, if I’m Anaheim I take fantilli and not over think it, some doubt creeping in and the possibility of 2/3 switching is there, but don’t see any other options 2 or 3

Fantilli was more of a jump than expected, carlsson had a solid tournament, short window though, I’m not sure it’s enough to flip the choices.

I think Mantha will be a straight cap dump (maybe someone gives up an asset but I doubt it) or he will be packaged for a better top 6 player if the other team wanted him for some reason.

I do not expect the caps to have a contract coming back unless hes packaged.

I think a lot of caps fans and management would be happy with a late round pick or even giving up a mid round pick to move off of Mantha's full contract. Taking back Hoffman they only gain 1.2m in space, and now have a roster player that is ... not very good. A Mantha buyout is not very bad, only costs around 1.7m in cap this year. I expect them to either move him for a minimal return or attached to some late round pieces, use him as salary filler for a better player (schmaltz, ehlers, etc.), or just buy him out. A swap of bad contracts doesn't really make sense for the caps
