Also, you're moving all that money and don't even focus on the one area of the Stars roster than needs the most help; the right side of their blue line. You move out over $18M in cap by moving Benn and Seguin & still roll into the season with Miller in the top-4? Why?

Avs wingers are dropping like flies. They certainly aren't moving one of the best that remains.

They may have interest in Marchment if he's shopped and the ask is mostly futures, but not for what you have here.

I would rage if this happened to my team. Benn and Seggs would never waive their NMC.

Not a lot of interest in Seguin. Trading Marchment would cause Dallas to take a hit in player’s circles. He specifically chose dallas over carolina because of his dad’s friend who is on the staff. March’s dad passed.

So...a team with almost negative cap space going into next year is going to take on a $9.5 million contract with zero money going the other way?

Why would the Avs trade for a worse winger.

Dallas declines, Rado declines, Carolina declines. Benn and Seguin decline. The defense is still the glaring issue. Harley is better than everybody not named Miro and you’ve got him scratched. There is a very good chance that this team is worse than the current one. You’re taking Benn away from Wyatt. You’re taking Marchment away from Domi. Chemistry matters. As I stated the defense is an issue and you want to add more forwards that aren’t good defensively (minus Lehkonen who Rado isn’t trading for Marchment anyways). Why would you do a full makeover of a forward group that’s in the final four anyways???

Seems a pretty lateral trade for the Avs/Stars so the Avs will keep the better player.
