What is that move get rid of cap and term for shorter term and money and Lucius, interesting idea if you could do it without the picks and possibly not frost. Then sell wheeler and scheifele as rentals and have a ton of cap for next off-season.

Philly wants to get out from under that contract and Hayes doesn't play Torts hockey. He has underproduced and has a contract ~$3ish million over his value. Not to mention he's on the wrong side of 30. I will say that Philly probably has $500,000 too much retained in this deal.

Torts liked Foudy and Bean when he was in Columbus and it's a pretty good reunion for two guys who already know his system.

Not sure how much they view Stanley and Lucius, so i obviously tip it to their side as Schiefele is a legit 1C in the league IMO, albeit on an expiring. You'd hope an extension would come with it.
