"]ust bad for Boston" lol. ACTUALLY makes a ton of sense for Boston considering they dont have a 1c or 2c atm if DK and PB retire BUT i assume ypu are basing this off a anti Kuzy narrative

They can't take on more salary, they will already most likely be moving 2 defensemen and possibly a goalie just to be under the cap next year. If Berg and Krejci retire I could see this happening ONLY if there is retention.

I think they will be going after someone younger to build with the new core like Lindholm before they go after Kuznetsov though.

Lindholm is going to be a UFA 1 year sooner...? the FA market on centers isnt great and Boston could likely give AZ a 2nd to eat salary.

Kuznetsov is declining, plays zero defense, has had off-ice issues and would cost $1.8M more than Hall when he isn't better. I don't want to add a top6 C (at least not if we give up this kind of return). Kuznetsov would not make the team a Cup contender so there's no point in adding him then.

I really feel like Mantha to Colorado makes a lot of sense for everyone (teams and player), and especially if there is a bit of retention.

lol declining? " would cost $1.8M more than Hall when he isn't better"

Hall defensive game is better but he also played on a more structured team. Kuzy is clearly the better of the 2. also "had off ice issues?" what year was that? have you heard of anything recently?

Hall played on the 3rd line this year so the Bruins would have more three strong lines. Kuznetsov didn't. If we're gonna compare points, 76% of Hall's points came at EV. 62% for Kuznetsov. It's possible Kuznetsov is better on the PP. Also, Hall averaged 16:12 of ATOI. Kuznetsov almost 3 more minutes at 19:09. That's a big difference.

Offensively, they're both close. I said Kuznetsov could regress but I did not say Hall will remain a 2nd liner forever. If the Bruins trade Hall, it should be for picks/prospects, not a 31yo roster player.

Caps were fined two years ago and he had a suspension in 2019. Regardless, his age, defensive game and cap hit is enough for me to not want him. He can help a team but it won't be in Boston.

I hate the idea of trading Kuzy for Hall. I don’t think hall is a target for the caps to begin with and idk what the bruins are doing this off-season but who knows if Kuzy is in their plans. Also we can get a lot more for kuznetsov than hall.
