Cant see buffalo giving anythingbfor karlsson without full 50% retention. They get plenty of points out of the d and where one of the leading scoring teams this year. They need players that prevent goals and although im willing to offer any and all of those pieces in deals it has to be for players that improve our pk, improve our team defense, improve face offs and offer a little intimidation. Karlsson does none of that.
Furthermore 3 top 15 picks a roster player (not a cap dump nobodies looking to move lyubushkin) and a second that becomes a first if things go well.... for karlsson...worst contract in the league, probably gonna be injured all year next year, finnished -26 karlsson. What? If anybody takes him off your team for 3mil retention and it cost you nothing thats amazing. And you call lyubushkin a cap dump.

Canes pass. Hertl is good, but that deal won’t be aging well. Should have taken the Canes offer for Meier.

Unless the Canes are trying to acquire Cozens, I’m not sure the Canes would be looking to move Morrow to the Sabres.

Morrow is a Good Prospect, but in No way would that happen.

Why not? TNT is 1C, and with Savoie and Kulich, as well as a couple of other C in the pipeline, I could see Cozens becoming expendable to make other areas of the roster better a couple years down the road. That being said, with Morrow looking like the Canes next 1RD, and those not growing on trees, I have a hard time seeing Morrow getting moved without the Canes making a big roster upgrade.

Cozens just signed a 7yr extension and had a very good year at 2C at 22. In No way would he be involved. Like I said Morrow looks to be very promising, but he hasn't played a game yet.

Also not only has morrow yet to prove his nhl chops but so do those 2 prospects you so easily suggest could replace cousins. Kulich probably wont be more than a dynamic 3c if even that. As to savoie i had a personal party when we got him and cant wait to see his nhl carear but im not even sure i want him up.this year. Mitts is the more replaceable young center if he builds on this past year he might be too good for 3c with some defensive improvement and not yet signed to a contract he could be traded for a good needed asset and replaced by a guy more in a 3c price range.
