Thats what I keep thinking but I’ve seen some interest and he would fit their window and be gone by the time some of your younger players need big new deals.
So it kinda makes sense and this is what I think is going to be fair value for him.
Personally the only two teams I see as viable are Seattlenand Oilers and even the Oilers I doubt that happens

The more I think about it the more Seattle seems like a really really good fit

Either way the contracts I’m thinking of when we need the cash are the ones for the 21, 22, & 23 high draft picks.

You’re right but still his deal will expire as other players bridge deals are up then I would assume. I’m just saying financially I see it being feasible, fit I’m not so sure to be honest! They already have a promising high ceiling offensive D.

And they could do 3 year bridge deals then both do max 8 year deals and that takes you through their prime years!

Dahlin already did a 3 year bridge. Bridge deals are bad ideas for players of their caliber anyways

They’re not if you set them up right! If I was a GM I would want the 8 year deals signed at age 25 to start at their age 26 season that way they end at age 34 just as their prime years are winding down and then do either short term deal or let them walk. Keeps you out of the disaster the sharks have made (couture till age 38 Burns till 40, Vlasic till 39 etc)
