Its going to cost more to convince the jets to move him within the division. Maybe add a 3rd team in who wants girard and flip those assets to Winnipeg...depending on what you can get for him. Add in a top prospect/young roster player too

Corey Perry and Nick Foligno would not fit on this team.

This is a very big package. Girard is worth a lot. 1st round pick and Colorado's best prospect.

He won’t sign that deal. You will get one year of PLD and then he will sign with MTL as a UFA.

I don’t think they will have the same impact as Helm or Cogliano. Foligno at 1.5 is definitely an overpayment when you could resign one of them (when you know you’re getting from them) or another 4th Liner. Perry might have some game left but I’m just not sure is all.

All we know is that a very drunk and combative (hit a team official, I think) woman was found in Nichushkin’s room hours before Game 3 and she had to be taken to the hospital since she was too drunk for a cab. Nuke was sent away by team security and no one but the team knows where he is. I’m sure that now the playoffs are over for the Avs we’ll get some more details.

I like this team, hope we get somehwere close to this. I love SammyG, but we can't go another season without a 2C. It just doesn't hold up. I'm so mad at the Manson signing, we knew it would blow up in our faces. Still management signed him with a NTC. Can't believe that they did that, completely put us in a **** position.

Regarding depth pieces, I think there is a possibility of JJ comming back on a league minimum due to his kind of good play since comming back. I would like that somehow.

Edit; Also think Foudy could make the team this year and make an impact, really liked him the few games he was up! Maybe we'll see some of the college guys making the team as well, lets hope so.

When you make trades, Do you even pay attention to what the other teams need. Girard is LD and Winnipeg like Detroit is stacked at the LD position they need RD help not a player like Girard.

PLD isn't taking anything less than 8 x 8 no way he's signing that with Colorado plus he's going home to Montreal in 2024. So he's only a one year rental.

Aside from anything else in there, PLD is a terrible target for anyone bar the Canadiens if as is rumoured that's where he wants to go. Avs can't afford to re-sign him at a realistic deal so he walks and you're back to square -2.

This AGM assumes that PLD extends at 7.5m x 8 years with Colorado. Colorado is the type of organization that players would want to go to. Even if there is another scenario out there, like with Montreal.

Montreal has the highest chance in my mind but there are a few other scenarios that I can see play out. This being one of them.

It's a dreadful gamble and I don't see PLD signing that, and that's even with a presumption that the other guys sign those contracts which is unlikely.
