First it was Kasper + Perron now it's a 1st + Perron, you're getting close! Maybe add a 3rd/4th and I'm happy on Detroit still.

That deal would have been done last week if that was the actual price.

Perron is 34 that makes little sense for Ottawa.

Something like Kubalik, Veleno OR Hanas and 2023 1st NYI and maybe a 2024 2nd round pick as well.

You really want to bring in old man Perron with this group, barf. He is just going to resign with the Blues for like the 8th time.

Any deal with the Red Wings for me with Debrincat has to be around Kasper being the main part coming back. Would rather be a more NHL-ready player, but I don't think they really have one that they would be willing to move. The First is nice, but you would have to get real lucky with draft lottery for it to be a player that could play next year.

Secondly, Soogard needs to be in as many games next season in a goalie tandem, he has a very real chance at becoming a very good starter for a lot of years. Playing him in the AHl more and splitting games with Merlivin isn't doing either of them any good. If you want to go with Jones over Forsberg I am ok with that but not both of them, I do worry about Forsbergs injury recovery and if he will be able to perform at the same level.

1. Pinto gets slightly more

2. That's a massive overpay for Martin Jones.

3. Perron and DeBrincat play on opposite wings and we are not trading DeBrincat to a division rival.

Detroit isn't trading any 1st round picks or top prospects for debrincat. They're not in contention mode as they're still in the middle of a long rebuild
