The absolute last thing the Flyers need is another winger.

Not trying to be mean or edgy, but this is painfully horrible from top to bottom. Straight talk only. The UFAs waste soooo much money and the trade returns are BRUTAL. This is a Nancy Kerrigan job.

Is this satire? One of those players is currently overpaid and it ain't Schenn.

STL comes out ahead in the trade with the Wings.

I think we can agree both teams wouldn't want anything to do with it.

Nah. A 5th means almost nothing, even to teams that draft well as these both do. Bortz is a team leader, the only full-on net front monster/shot block fiend and a huge part of the PK (notice how they crapped the bed this year every time he was out) who is also a plus skater and safe puck mover, all for a dirt cheap contract that runs out next summer. And here he replaces him with a thoroughly meh dude who'd make more than twice as much for twice as long. Meanwhile, Bortz is as good or better than half your D stable this season (though to be fair, he cannot match the minutes that Maataa plays) and you're losing a couple 3rd pairing guys anyway.

But I digress because I'm starving.

So Parayko at 7 x $6,500,000 Dahlin around 8 x $11,000,000 and Power around 8 x $8,000,000. Seriously doubt Buffalo can afford to take Parayko on.

But that's when he is healthy. He has played 70+ games twice in his career. He averages about 41 games a season so you'd have to go find someone to play the 41 games he misses. He is a 34yr old dman with severe durability issues, So honestly what do you think he is worth? Detroit has 3 dmen becoming UFAs at the end of the season Hagg, Oesterle and Pysyk. Now maybe Pysyk gets resigned as a safety net because he is an RHD.

Mission Taco???

Heh. You can't just divide by his seasons, because he has been a 7th D for most of his seasons. He was never a true regular until 17-18. It's not that he's hurt all the time, he isn't - especially for a guy who'll launch himself in front of shots kamikaze style. This was most injured season he's had, I think.

Heh, would be nice, but I'm not in STL.
