What happened with the big college defensmen they signed? I completely forgot about him till I saw him playing at the end of the year. Based on this I'm guessing you didn't see much.

Jake Livingstone. He probably starts next season in the A. He's a solid addition to NSH's system, but learning the pro game in the minors would be best for his development.

I think I'd rather have Barrie in the mix instead of Stetcher, to start the season. There's plenty of cap space for Barrie here. He can still get moved at the deadline, if NSH is out of the race.

Yeah, feels like a situation with Barrie where he has a really good year on the pp then gets dealt at 50% for a good return. I still wouldn't be surprised if they are a wildcard team

Livingstone will start in the AHL for sure. He was the 14th defenseman we played this season.

I could see hanging on to Barrie but if a team were to offer me a 2nd rounder this year with the draft in Nashville I'd probably take it. Hell, we could retain 50% right now if a team wants to pony up a first.

Disagree with the Johansen buyout. He's a major positive for the locker room(5th in NHLPA voting for best locker room guy).

Why are the Canes paying a 2nd for Barrie? They have no need for him and would just be a waste of cap space.
