<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BRUINS_STAN_MAN</b></div><div>He's a legend.

At the beginning of the season I thought this was his last go for sure. I've kind of come around to the idea that he might come back for one more. I think the coaching change has a lot do with it. They seem to be having so much fun, playing looser, and having success.

Whether or not he's able to perform at a top level will remain to be seen. This is why I think they need to make a move for a center this off season. It hasn't been officially reported but Krejci isn't coming back. I guess he only wanted one year back here.

So bc Krejci is gone, you'd need to fill either 2c or slide zacha to 2c and fill the hole at 2lw. Hypothetically, you could get away with re-signing bertuzzi but if Bergeron leaves then you have a massive hole.</div></div>

I hope he's back, but let's say he isn't. Really curious what happens there. Centers are few and far between. With retention I wonder if they look at Nashville for Duchene/RJ. Sharks say hertl is untouchable.... but he'd be a great fit and they wanted him. Logan couture at retention? Still a decent player. Philly has Hayes, but I don't think he is a bruin type guy. Couturier on the other hand would be absolutely perfect. I really hope his career isn't over with all the injuries. If he's healthy that is such a great fit. Nick schmaltz might work, but he's a winger/center combo. The easy fix is to have Bergeron, but the conversation of the team moving forward without him has to be had imo.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oliver_wahlstrom</b></div><div>Mayfield and McCabe are also very similar.
McCabe: 3 goal, 30 point pace. 9.7 xGAR over last 3 seasons.
Mayfield: 7 goal, 14 assist, 21 point pace. 5.4 xGAR over last 3 seasons.

Mayfield has higher point production over last three years and is more consistent. Mayfield also has had more linemates than McCabe but McCabe has been consistently going up against team's top lines so this all evens out imo.

They are close and while I dont think Mayfield could get a McCabe haul, he could easily get more than a 2nd. And Parise is on a 20 goal pace with great analytics. They could 100% fetch this</div></div>

I just see McCabe as a guy who has 2 years after this one who was playing on a really bad team yet still putting up a positive goal differential. Mayfield is still really solid and I'm not saying anything different, but with the market being what it is, orlov is gone, McCabe (reatining 2 million for 3 years) is gone. Chychrun, Gavrikov, Jensen, Ekholm, Mayfield, Klingberg etc. The market is going to crash with this amount of dmen. Unfortunately not all these guys can get 1st round picks. On Parise, he does have value, but the islanders were the only team he wanted to play for. Maybe he wants out? I haven't heard much on that front. It's a situation where he tells you where he wants to go and you do right by the player. If he goes somewhere he would probably be depth and not get the opportunity he has gotten in NY. obviously this is all speculation, but vets get around a 4th at deadline.
