Yea I mean it's not bad, but based on what everyone is hearing, Flyers are about to finalize the deal where Danny Briere takes his interm gm tag off and becomes the guy. He said he is "willing to listen on just about anything" and is "not afraid to use the word rebuild" so I would expect your not a contender let alone a playoff team in the near future. But if like you predict you get bedard, you might change his mind, if not though, it will be selling some major pieces, like Carter Hart, Sean Couturier, Rasmus Ristolainen and a whole bunch more.

Given their timeline, the sooner they can take swings in the draft the better. Value is decent on all trades (although I don't think Winnipeg or Calgary are the right teams), but moving 3 guys with value for 0 2023 draft capital would be a failure IMO

He says it won't be a fire sale, but it always ends up as one.

I don't see any of those 3 guys moved for very different reasons:

Hart: Just don't think they'll get the value to justify that move, would take a team really, really stepping up to the plate with a great offer

Couturier: Nobody is going to pay for a guy who hasn't played since 2021

Ristolainen: At the point where you're moving DeAngelo, the Flyers literally wouldn't have any NHL RHD at all. They still need someone to play with York and you can always move Risto later down the line

Preds have enough puck moving RHD. And Tony D is a basket case I wouldn't want that loser anywhere near my room

The point of those names was to say that the Flyers are going to be moving everyone! Those are players they would want and need to keep if building a winner, but trust me, coming from Edmonton, I know when the fire sale is around the corner, we had 11 years of that, and let me tell you, it's not just around the corner in Philly, but it's knocking at the door.

That's a fair assesment. The only thing I'll say with Philly is that I don't think they'll move guys like Frost, Cates, Tippett, York etc, and those guys may push them to be better than people may realize. Unfortunately they are in a little bit of a no mans land, will be curious to see if they move more than the expected Provorov + Hayes this summer for sure.

Calgary already has a log jam at Defense, AND have only 300k in cap space. No thank you

PHI would have to take Hanifin or something back to bring either Provorov or Sanheim for that matter back

This probably isn’t a popular opinion, but I’d Trade for DeAngelo. The guys very out spoken but he’s also a very good hockey player

I wonder whether we’d consider Trading for Konecny as well

Trade Bait Pieces would either be Hanifin, Mangiapane, Toffoli, Dube, Vladar and Kylington

We couldnt trade for Provorov we have Hanifin, Weggar, Kylington and Zadarov who can play the left side.

Also we have no cap space.
