I am going to come for your neck because of this.

Realistically, no. A "big piece" (Logan Mailloux) has a character that Yzerman likely doesn't even touch. Josh Anderson is servicable, but doesn't really move the needle for me.
As "meh" as Raymond has been, this just fills a smaller hole (2RD) by digging us a bigger one (We need top-line wingers).

I don't know if we'd accept if you offered MTL's pick instead of FLA's.

We would. But, right now, it's going to be 5 or 6 overall unless they get some lotto luck. And, if they do get that lottery draw, they're not giving us a top 2 pick for Lucas Raymond.

100% agree with all of this, I just was saying top 3 wings would do it

No need to come for my neck, i already know this isnt a fair proposal. Raymond might of been ''meh'' this season but he turned 21 years old 2 weeks ago. He's still a pup. Only reason he is considered ''meh'' is because of his previous season, which was exceptionnal for a guy at his age.

Yeah. Forsure. He had a new coach, new linemates, and overall just a prime candidate for an inconsistent season.
He'll be fine.

Raymond's 21 years old and his "sophomore slump" season still had him scoring at a 50 point pace.

As I said in your other thread, too - Detroit might just not be the best target for this kind of trade because they already are lined up to have their own top-10 pick and the Islanders' first rounder, which should be in the late teens. Adding another pick in that 17-20 range just doesn't move the needle - it's not like they'll be able to package those together and get into the top 4, and seeing as the talent level outside those names is pretty evenly spaced out, I think they'll be happy with what they get with their 2 first rounders. Don't see a reason for them to be giving away young, NHL-proven talent to add another 1st.
