should be a 7th or 8th dman...but Chicago can afford it- they wont have cap issues for a few years with this roster.

There's absolutely no reason why a 7th dman should get a contract that can't be fully buried. But in the grand scheme of things, it's inconsequential.

Not sure why you vote no here. Hawks have all the cap space in the world, its a 1 year contract, and they aren't trying to be good.

Tinordi’s been decent since landing in Chicago, he’ll be a serviceable #6/7 for them, might be like 250k too much but I’d still say good contract

More than earned it. Happy for the guy. Tough year for him injury wise, but he’s kept pushing.

IMO it's an overpayment to make him less attractive on waivers.

Happy for him, well deserved. Must be nice for him to know that he's not going to bounce around like he has the last couple of years.

You don't give a player who has his history of injuries a raise, especially if his contract is no longer buriable. Worst case scenario: He comes back 'healthy' but unable to play at the NHL level. Now you have to send him down and have a $100,000 cap hit. And if you don't think that could matter, look at Toronto this season.

Because he's only a fringe NHL player who is coming off of serious injuries and this reducing the Hawks' ability to weaponize their cap space come trade deadline.
