NYR doesn't have the cap space for that and both teams probably decline that trade.

Moving on from Hanifin would just be foolish. He is extremely underrated for what he provides and in the case that Tanev retires after next year our blue line would be devastated. I trust Hanifin to be able to run a top 4 pairing, I do not trust Kylington to though.

The way the cap is, we would have to pick between Lindholm or Hanifan probably. I pick Elias all day in that situation. Flames could retain in this trade.

Zadorov is pretty hit/miss, I don't see him being worth much more than what we traded for him 2 years ago.

Rangers would never trade Cuylle, Schneider, and a first for a defenseman making ~5 mil when K'Andre Miller needs to get paid this offseason & Schneider is a solid defenseman making less than 1 mil. I dont think youll get that big of a package for Hanifin anywhere, but certainly not the Rangers with how cap strapped they are.

Flames have a projected 39M in cap space that year.. With the cap going up. Hopefully holes are filled with the likes of Poirier, Pelletier, Coronato, Wolf etc. etc. but there is no need to pick between those two players any time soon.

Schneider isn't available for trade, and Cuylee probably isn't either. Easy no from the Rangers.

Rags aren't trading Schneider, nor do they have around $6,500,000 to $7,000,000 per to sign him on his next contract. Very doubtful Hanifin will be cheap on his next contract.

Love Hanifin and Stromgren is a nice prospect but NYR can’t afford to do this and probably prefer not to tbh.

I like hanafin. But 3 factors in this.
1. The rangers cant afford him.
2. The rangers arent moving Schneider who is still a cheap RHD when we have no RD in our system.
3. The rangers aren't moving that 2023 pick.

As a side note, ive no clue on stromgren.

Zadorov is worth more like Pierre-Olivier Joseph or Ty Smith + Isaac Belliveau. He’s just entering his Prime Years, is still getting better and would very likely be willing to sign long-term

I’m okay with JBD for Vladar. Definitely don’t want Thomson Otherwise guys like Mark Kastelic, Egor Sokolov, Julien Gauthier, Zach Ostapchuk, Stephen Halliday, Ben Roger and Jorian Donovan would be all worth consideration as well

I’m not opposed to moving Hanifin, but it’d have to be for a very good reason, like he won’t extend long-term or wants way too much. There’s a few Free Agents we could look at to replace Hanifin if need be: R.Graves, Orlov, E.Gustafsson, Gavrikov, C.Soucy, etc.
