Drury laughs so hard he falls off his chair, then he says no thanks but keep dreaming. Then he counter offers Libor Hajek and a plate of Poutine for Xhekaj and the Habs 2023 1st round pick.

Why do Hab fans obsess over trading for him? Why do the continually threaten to offer sheet him, like children, if Ranger fans won't accept their nonsense trade offers? When you figure that out, you will have your answer.

Why do delusional habs fans think they can get him for a Marlboro and a roll of toilet paper?

We have no interest trading our core, that’s final.

We don’t. We’re just not interested in trading a key piece of our core AND one of our best prospects. It’s not that hard.

This is like trading Juraj Slavkosky and Owen Beck for the 15th pick and Matthew Robertson

Enjoy watching the two duds in the playoffs AGAIN this year. Invite all the Habs over to your house to watch too, you can have a BBQ.

French canadian, top 6 potential. Offer sheet is an option every GM can use. I personally don't think he's worth an offer sheet.

Now answer me why you think he's worth a top 5 pick?

And by the way, using insults only make you look bad and adds nothing to the conversation.

If you think a 2023 top 15 pick and a good young tough bottom pairing D equal a Marlboro and a roll of toilet paper, you definitely know your hockey.

It would be like trading Slafkovsky for the 15th pick and a good young bottom pairing D. Habs wouldn't do it because they still believe in Slafkovsky, but value wise it's probably fair.

Smart answer as always. I'm going to assume you can't answer because there's no way he's worth a top 5 pick and you know it. Moving on.

Assume whatever you want since you don't know much of anything about hockey. And FYI, Laffy will be a top-6 forward next year for the Rangers on a line with Kakko and Chytil, so bad news for Hab fans, no Laffy for them now or anytime soon. Keep dreaming about PLD, it's more realistic.

Xhekaj had a terrible rookie season. I'm sure he'll grow into a good bottom pairing D but he's nowhere near that with how penalty prone and costly-play prone he is.
And no, my trade offer was not fair for Montreal lol.

I don't think 13 points in 51 games on his rookie season is "terrible". As for penaly minutes, he's a fighter. I expect him to get as much penalty minutes as he can, and even lead the league.

I'm realistic about players value, so i would say a 2023 mid 1st round pick and a decent prospect would be enough for both Slafkovsky or Lafreniere. I wouldn't give a 2023 top 5 pick for either player.

I said penalty-prone. I'm not talking about the fighting lol. I really don't care about points for a guy who's supposed to be a physical defensive defenceman, especially when the only thing he has down is the physicality.

A top 5 pick in a gifted draft class is one thing , but neither Slafkovsky nor Lafreniere return less than your trade suggestion plus a second round pick.

With those kind of answer, i'm going to assume you're very young. Laffy might finally play top 6 next season, but that's all he will ever be. A 2nd pair winger. But since you seem to know a lot about hockey, and you think he's worth a top 5 pick, you probably still think he has superstar potential.

Last summer, Rags fans said Chytil, Laf and Kakko would be their 2nd line this season. What happent?

Well when what we give up is a former 1OA and a 2nd rounder, yea, that return IS a roll of toilet paper and a Marlboro.

Bottom line is, Laf is not being shopped, he’s part of our long term core.

With those kind of answers, I'm going to assume you're not that bright.

No one thought the kid line would be the 2nd line this year, especially after signing Trocheck, so that is pure nonsense made up in your head. They are 21, 22 and 23 so they are the future of the organization along with Miller, Schneider, Shesty and Othmann. That is hockey knowledge. Their play this year strongly "SUGGESTS" they will be the 2nd line next year, but nothing is even written in stone in life.

Maybe worry about you Habs, because lord knows they need the help.

That is not the point they are ist overall picks playing on the third line ...not top fds so that is why it is a disappointment and we wouldnt pay 6million for a third line player.. simply that
