That is not the point they are ist overall picks playing on the third line ...not top fds so that is why it is a disappointment and we wouldnt pay 6million for a third line player.. simply that

First off, be factual, Kakko was a 2nd overall pick. Second, Laffy is 21 and Kakko is 22 playing on a team with a lot of top 6 talent, so they were not rushed along and allowed to develop into complete 200 foot players, which they are now. Third, most likely they will be the Rangers 2nd line next year with both wingers making $2.5m or less and a center making less than $4.5m. You're problem is you can't have either on your terrible team, but that's life. Enjoy watching them both in the playoffs with the Rangers for many more years to come.

Well when what we give up is a former 1OA and a 2nd rounder, yea, that return IS a roll of toilet paper and a Marlboro.

Bottom line is, Laf is not being shopped, he’s part of our long term core.

With those kind of answers, I'm going to assume you're not that bright.

No one thought the kid line would be the 2nd line this year, especially after signing Trocheck, so that is pure nonsense made up in your head. They are 21, 22 and 23 so they are the future of the organization along with Miller, Schneider, Shesty and Othmann. That is hockey knowledge. Their play this year strongly "SUGGESTS" they will be the 2nd line next year, but nothing is even written in stone in life.

Maybe worry about you Habs, because lord knows they need the help.

Looked up at the three Rags fans who replied to this ACGM. One of them had the kid line as your 22-23 2nd line. One out of three.

Don't worry about MTL, we'll be fine for many years to come. If i was you, i'd worry about the cap hell NYR are about to go through.

Yeah, Sykora shouldn't be part of the deal. But that's fair value for Laf.

Not worried a bit, and a couple of posts does not mean all ranger fans, or even close to a majority. Good luck with the Habs....lol.

Best case scenario, Laf and Miller sign bridge deals between 3,5 and 4,5M each. With Mikkola playing 20 minutes a game, i would say he get close to 4M too.

I just spent all of 12M cap space NYR got next year, and they still need 3-4 more forwards. Good luck with the Rags... lol.

MTL will gladly take Goodrow off your hands if you give us a 1st and 2nd.

Goodrow would never approve a trade to such a train wreck of a franchise. And funny you think they sign Mikkola and risk losing one of the kids.....like I said, not that bright.

Still not enough money to sign 4 forwards and a D. I think NYR are going to be in cap hell next summer, and will need to dump someone. You think they won't. We'll see who knows hockey more.

And like i said earlier, using insults in everyone of your comment doesn't tell anything about me, but only show what kind of person you are. But hey, since your account got created 1 month ago, i guess it isn't your first ban right? Keep going buddy.

The truth is not an insult.

Rangers have cap issues for sure, but they also have priorities, like any team. Their priorities were signing Chytil, Miller and Laffy, and now that Chytil is signed, Miller and Laffy are next. Drury will get both signed just like he did with Chytil, who signed a pretty team friendly deal for a 4 year contract. Once Miller and Laffy are signed, and the actual salary cap is announced, they will fill out the roster, just like every year. But there is no way they sign a guy like Mikkola, who is 3rd pair LD on the Rangers to $4m/season, as you suggested. That is pure ignorance. They have players in the minors that could make next years team on ELC's such as Othmann, Cuylee and Robertson, so that also gets figured into who Drury signs and for how much. Kane only sticks around if he is willing to take a very low salary with incentives like the Bruins did with Krecji and Tarasenko was always just a rental. Bottom line is they sign Chytil, Miller and Laffy and then fill out the rest as best they can. Not that hard to figure out......for most people.

Laf would bring back something worth writing home about.

next year we have no reason not to put them over Kreider and Trochek, theyve been better than that line.

I have never thought about the habs since the only player worth watching in your org hasn't played since '21 sadly

This is not my problem .... When someone suggests a trade we look at perfoprmance and expectation and they have not preform exceeding well but they have made progress and are nhl ers right....But if someone asks me should we give him 6 mil on a long term deal then i question that. That is all it is .....I dont think Laf is worth 6 mil yet and he might never be... doesnt make him a bad player...jusy not a superstar. As for watching the playoffs i was 10 years old in 1970 and I have been to 8 stanley cup parades so I am good and in the sixties they won a few others that i watched on tv so I am all good about my team and our success record... Why no one has won in Canada for so lonfg is because of taxes and weather which are non-existent in some states and is a huge advantage when signing free agents like Panarin and Fox.... as examples....and dont get me wrong either I like the rangers and i like their chances this year..... they went all in and should have as good as chance as anyone as long as you remember that NJ and car and then boston is going to be super tough and you will need luck and health to do it......but you have all the pieces to get it done.....I will watch laF AND ROOT FOR HIM BUT i STILL DONT WANT HIM TO PLAY IN QUEBEC WHERE THE PPRESSURE WOULD DO HIM IN....

Laff isn't a $6m/year player yet, and that's why he gets a bridge deal from the Rangers at $3m/year or less IMO. It's delusional Hab fans that post this crap. This is the best Ranger team since 94 IMO, but that doesn't mean anything come playoffs, they have to perform every game, and the Rangers are not known for consistency, but we will see. It's going to be 3 brutal series for whomever wins the east, Boston included.
