He isn't available. Just because he is playing out of his mind doesn't mean he's even close to being shopped. There is never a point where we will trade him. Y'all think Arizona is dumb or something

I mean, yes, alot of people think Arizona is dumb.

More importantly, alot of people know Arizona is broke and a nonserious franchise looking to spend as little money as humanly possible as evidenced by everything they've done for years now

All this is gonna accomplish is getting more Keller trades posted.

It happens every year to almost every team

People want good players and this is the place they can see what their team looks like with whoever

Wait until after the draft lottery and look at all the trades for Bedard that are going to come for a 1st round prospect from 2018 thats only played 30 games but is "oUr TeAmS bEsT pRoSpEcT" from a bottom 5 prospect pool and 2 future 1sts

In the defense of others, they got a laughable return for Chychrun, and could have gotten more for Ghost if the showed any amount of competence in that front office. At this point it wouldn't be surprising if the traded Keller for an Outback Steakhouse gift card, and a bottle of Zima.

Is the chychrun return laughable though? They got a top 12 pick and two 2nds for a dude who’s done for the year again. They did ghost a solid, that’s management taking care of vets. Bill Armstrong has won basically every trade he’s attempted, including his first one that completely sunk the Canucks. They’re not trading Keller, we went through this same exact thing last summer when Ottawa insisted we were broke and we were just going to give them Keller

If they traded him a year ago they could have gotten two high picks, and a great prospect. They got greedy, and then traded him off for less than they should have gotten for him. They got less for Ghost than Montreal got for Chairot, and we all know who the better defenseman is.

That was disproven from Bill himself, he said in post deadline interviews that other teams were holding his injury history and the fact that he posted a poor season the year prior against him. We were about to trade him last year before the deadline, he toe picked at the blue line and needed multiple surgeries. It’s not a case of getting greedy, it’s a case of the offers never being up to public expectations. As far as ghost goes, he also was coming back from injury and only had a couple games before the deadline. Offensive defenseman don’t get the same value as perceived “playoff style” defenseman. We got a 2nd, 3rd, and a 7th for playing ghost for a year and a half, and that 2nd was used to get conor geekie as well. We got more than enough value out of ghost, so we sent him to a contender that he wanted to go to

There's only been a couple of Keller trades on here, hardly enough for you to have a hissy fit over, and with the pundits making noise about who else on the Yotes asks for a trade, Keller is at the top of the list. You have to give guys like him a timeline and a plan as to when the team will be better, and Arizona showed they're still willing to sell off 24-25 year old stars this year so they are publicly announcing they are still in teardown mode.

They held out for multiple years just to get lower than their asking price

Teams offered multiple 1sts, they were late and they wanted us to take salary back without compensating us to do it. A top 12 pick and two 2nds is worth more than 2 late 1sts, a B prospect, and a cap dump. If chychrun doesn’t get hurt he was gone last year, they got good value, but it’s Arizona so people will knock it regardless.

I’m pretty sure if somebody offered a mid first, and 2 second round picks on cap friendly before the trade happened, you’d probably say the Yotes decline

First I’m confident that Ottawa pick is landing in the top 10, second it doesn’t really matter what capfriendly says, those aren’t real world offers. Teams were leery of his injury record and performance last year, that drove offers down. We got off an extremely volatile asset that didn’t want to be here anymore for a high end pick and two other 2nd round picks, that’s a good deal, especially since what do ya know? Chychrun is done for the season again. It will be viewed as a good deal as soon as next year.
