with the contract they would end up giving Chytil WSH would be adding money and trading down from ~12oa and their highest pick in a decade in a stacked draft to ~55oa while also probably giving up the worse player next year. Don't get me wrong I'd take the next 5 years of Chytil over the next 2 years of Kuzy any day, but the Caps are worried about next year and next year only. I could see some sort of Chytil/Kuzy deal but this one just has the Caps giving up way too much.
Chytil, Goodrow, NYR 23 2nd for Kuzy. Money could work for NYR, they're getting out of one of the worst contracts in the league in Goodrow, and they get the better player right now.
