Drouin is dead in Montreal.... Huhges will not re-sign him, and if he does, that's an indication to fire him immediately.
filler for a veteran 3LW

simple answer is dont bring back Drouin to start with, Salf then starts up with the habs. Ylonen has shown flashes of what he can do lately but unless theres more consistency in his game his spot in the lineup is far from a lock, Resigning Monahan makes sense with the intent to flip him but that all depends on his injury and how much faith they have in him being able to return to full strength. Then your first injury call ups are Mesar, Roy, Farrell depending on who is looking the best early on in the year.
Drouin is a filler for 3LW

I think that Slaf should start in Laval unless he blows it out of the water in the preseason, because he wasn't great in the regular season (and I prefer him getting 1st line minutes in laval than 4th line minutes in montreal). Roy or Farrell I agree but I think there's no space for either of them unless Drouin is sent down (whos probably the only guy you can send down who'd be bad enough to be sent down AND clear waivers) and then the dilemma becomes what you do once Slaf goes off in the AHL
Ylonen should at least be competing for a 3rd or 4th line spot because that's where he fits best, and I think that he'll get a 4th line spot over one of the rookies (already made the mistake with Slaf on the fourth line, no need to try it again)
Monahan resign is a filler for a veteran 2LW, but he and Drouin can be flipped at the deadline.
First injury callups are Armia, Mesar, Farrell because you don't know whether it'll be a 4th liner or a 1st liner who's hurt. Anything above the 4th line and you call up a young guy. Anything below you call up Armia
