For a dude who’s forgotten how to score, 41 points in 55 games is pretty impressive. Just imagine how many goals and points he’ll be putting up when he’s fully recovered from his hand injury (which probably would be with another team since the Canucks medical staff seemingly can’t deal with hand injuries), as well as not having the personal issues with his fathers health at the forefront of his mind anymore. Sure he’s a bad skater but he puts up points. If Greenway who has 2 goals and 7 points in 46 games gets a 2nd+, Boeser should easily return a 2nd+

I probably could've saved some time just writing like this so thank you lol

Boeser has 29 assists and 15 of them are secondary. We all saw Miller’s numbers regress this year similar reasons.

He’s a Canucks fan who didn’t point out just over half of his assists are secondary. 11 of his points came on the power play too. You basically want to trade for a slower, less efficient and more expensive Oloffson.

Oh, I should've clarified. This isn't an ACGM on the team that I want. This is my prediction for the summer. I probably should've led with that lol. At any rate, That would still give him more primaries than Olofsson. Again, not a trade I would do, but their history suggests its a trade the Sabres would do. Try to rehab Boeser into a 30+ goal scorer with Granato's touch rather than actually move assets of significance.

Connor Ingrams numbers are waayyyy better than UPL's. Stop judging based on draft position. UPL stinks, Ingram's goals saved above average and D-FSV% are much better than Luukkonen. Also hes 25, so the diff in age isnt that much

ROFL what numbers did you make up to justify that. Ingram doesn't have any good numbers in his career. He looks and plays like an AHL goalie. UPL has played well and gotten no help in front of him. Anderson is also falling victim to this lately as well for reference

Oh I see. Btw I hope you know I’m not trying to be hostile. Just saying the Sabres probably have more to work with than you think. This is a league where Chuck Fletcher and Ron Hextall are General Managers lol.

I literally just told you

Goals above replacement:

Ingram: 4.8 GAR
UPL: - 3.7 GAR (yep, negative goals above replacement)

Goals saved above average:

Ingram: 1.77
UPL: -12.26 (once again, nice tidy negative number. Always what you want in a tender)

Delta fenwick save percentage:

Ingram: 0.59
UPL: - 0.59

These are the three statistics the analytics community looks at when assessing goaltending the most but there are also plenty other where Lukkonen is bottom 5 amongst any regulars. Go ahead, look them up.

No I didnt think that dont worry, hope you didnt either. I think they have plenty to work with, but I also think their GM gets way more credit than he deserves and many don't realize the owner wont spend like they assume he will.

Clearest example why you can't take 3 fancy stats out of context. What were Comrie's numbers last year

What was Hoffmans trade value? That’s basically what olofsson is, Hoffman went for nothing of significance. Mittelstadt will likely stay, decent middle six results since moving to wing and costs nothing...

There’s a big space, but that’s it. Look at the end of the day I’m actually saying you are undervaluing the Sabres pieces. Tyler Bertuzzi and Kyle Palmieri each fetched a first and a fourth at the TDL. Bertuzzi might be more talented than both guys, but he’s also out of his mind and injury prone lol.
Nice conversation great points and very respectful.
Up to this TDL it appeared Olofsson could return a first, but Granlund, Ellers, Domi, Niederreiter all only returned a second and they all are a bit better than Olofsson.
Luukkonen needs to be more consistant, but trading him for Ingram certainly is within a rhelm of possibility.
Boeser may be an upgrade, but let's keep the early second as within two years Savoie or Kulich or both will eclipse Brock's output.
BTW what a horrible trade to give up a second for Greenway.
With 2 goals and a $3,000,000 AVV, Buffalo should have been given an incentive to take him.

This is in context lol. Luukkonen and Ingram have relatively similar sample sizes, and are close in age.

Colorado and Dallas paid a premium cause the second rounders are in 2025. Also worth mentioning the Avs got retention, and Dallas dumped Dobby.

As for Granlund…. He sucks. Niederreiter should’ve fetched a first imo even if they didn’t take back salary.

Oloffson has a high end shot and he’s a great skater. Boeser on the other hand has forgotten how to score and is about as quick on his feet as Josh Bailey.

Olofsson is not a great skater. NHL average at best

You are greatly overestimating the average NHL skaters ability
