The only trade with some value here is Bertuzzi and Kubalik but not a chance Carolina gives up a rising top 6 forward in Jarvis for them not to mention a 1st and a 2nd round pick.

Suter is very good defensively and Edmonton SHOULD look into a player like that, but probably won't since Edmonton is offense first, defense never.


Bertuzzi's injuries have been completely different reasons than why he's called "injury prone", so that really shouldn't be a factor in any trade.
As for scoring, I guess if you don't watch him play games you don't know what he'll bring.

I had said that I would hesitate to send a 4th for him as the circumstances are right now, not what he is worth. I get the reasoning why he would get a first. But for a goal scorer, he hasn’t exactly done great in that category this year, now has he? What, 4 goals so far this year for a top line goal scorer? Chatfield, who plays on the 3rd pairing in Carolina, has more goals than Bertuzzi this year. De Haan, the other 3rd pairing dman in Carolina, only has 2 fewer points (same as Chatfield for that matter) than Bertuzzi. I get that injuries have played a role in that this season, but at the same time, what has Bertuzzi done this season to warrant a first round pick, let alone more?

Difference between Mantha and Bertuzzi is Mantha was locked up contract wise.

Los Angeles is in the top third of the League in scoring and has 16 NHL-qualified forwards on the roster. The Kings won't be the ones buying Sundqvist, but he might well get you a second.
