No doubt pushing a narrative that Meier could be had at similar cost to be bitter, which in reality probably won't be the case. Meier will cost more.

Hes been pushing a Meier narrative for a while. I think he lost his source in the sharks, because he gets very angry every time he talks about them and insists they will get very little for Meier

I'd have to beluieve Meier cost more than "a little bit more than O'Reilly" based on his age, re-signibility, trade of his rights, but especially because hes having a great year, none of which apply to ROR.

But mostly, why do leaf fans throw a bunch of useless stuff into trades, like out of date cans of soup from the back of the cupboard.

Seriously what does SDA and Kerfoot add to this trade, and why would SJ take on five contracts. Take out those 2 and its actually a quality offer: 2 good, almost high level prospects, one broken prospect who might garner a 3rd on his own and a 1st, 3rd, 4th over the next 2 years, is a a quality offer.

But SDA and Kerfoot offer negative value to SJ, so you're adding a 4th or robertson just to take on those 2, lessening the deal.

And while you're not asking for retention, you're blindly hoping Murray stays on LTIR for the rest of the season AND that samsonov can stay consistent.

I've enjoyed the pile on that he's been getting from twitter...saw a couple from him the other day...first one was from a week or two ago that said something along the lines of "ROR is exactly the kind of player that Toronto needs!", then, following the trade, he said something like "Oh yeah, ROR is wrong for the Leafs and they overpaid, and it's a bad trade, blah blah blah". Clown show.

That's what I keep reading as well. Which makes me proud of Dubas for not leaking anything., very Lou Lamerilialailooo or however you spell it.
