Trading Holl for JVR is such a bad move. You weaken our defence and add a forward that doesn't help us very much.

O'Reilly would be a good add but I don't love the price tag with the year he is having.

I'm not sure ROR makes sense unless you plan on making him 2C and shifting Matthews over to LW like EDM did with McDavid a few years back.

That's fair, I rather he score 60 goals again and finds his offensive dominance, but being elite defensively makes up for it. I just can't see Tavares moving to the wing given the way he plays.

the way JT plays would absolutely translate well to winger. He's very much a tight corners, net front type offensive impact that would be great at LW

JT has lost quite a bit of speed in the last two years and that's why his game translates better at wing than C.

(Read that wrong at first, think a bit slower up the middle is more passable than on the wing.) Same goes for ROR especially coming off a broken foot. I know he'd had a down first half the season but alot of that is on the situations hes played and defense/goaltending just not showing up and guys just not converting. I still think he will be the most impactful deadline acquisition for whoever grabs him.

If they are adding O'Reilly, they definitely should be adding someone with more speed for 2LW, maybe Domi or Barbashev. Barbashev is probably the better option since if they add Knies to the roster, then he's better suited to play on the 3rd line in a checking role as opposed to Domi.
