It's the term that makes this a non starter. Avs have to extend Byram and then Toews while Cecil will be under contract. There are much cheaper 3rd pair rd options. If he was a pending ufa, I wouldnt hate the idea.

No they weren’t. I’m guessing what this guy is referring to is when some random “reporter,” tweeted about Puljujarvi to boston being an interesting idea, and then marchand told him to shut up. A whole bunch of idiots ran with it for a week and thought this meant boston was interested. It was pretty ridiculous. We can just use logic here - look at boston, look at Puljujarvi - of course there’s no interest.

Ceci has been Edmonton's 1RD since he was signed. They aren't dumping him for crumbs, he has FAR more value than that.

Thats cool, keep him. Avs have Makar, Manson, EJ(?) and Girard(edit: on the right). I never posted the trade but crumbs is all you would get from the Avs.

That's my point - the Oilers would rather keep him. He's certainly worth more than that trade, although I agree that Colorado isn't a good trading partner.

I agree 100%. underpay but I just did it as an oilers got their guy now have to get some cap off the books
