Hawks are 100% willing to retain 50% imo. Obviously, the 1st is included and required. I tend to think Blomqvist or even Sergey Murashov is more desirable than either Smith or Puustinen. It's not that I dislike Smith...we just know he's an offensive minded Dman to which there are a ton of those guys out there. The Hawks also have a freakin log jam of D prospects both currently on their AHL affiliate and also coming in shortly.

PIT 1st, 2nd, Sergey Murashov (OR Blomqvist) McCabe 50% retained and TRad. There might be conditions on that 2nd to move up to a 1st IF certain criteria are met in the playoffs.

I think that's perfectly reasonable. I can swap out Blomqvist into the CHI trade and Smith into the AZ trade.

I think the Arizona trade addresses Pittsburgh’s needs well.

The only difference is the prospect swap between the AZ and CHI trade. Everything else would look the same.
