Caps pass on that SJS deal. Mantha is waaaay better than Kunin. And they aren't going to pay someone to take Mantha.

As I said the last three or four times this deal was proposed, Quinton Byfield, Rasmus Kupari and Blake Lizotte have the #3C and #4C slots covered, and we have Gabe Vilardi and Jaret Anderson-Dolan and even Alex Turcotte in a pinch if they don't, so Lars Eller isn't on our wish list.

I think I am going to keep the 2024 pick but change to Suzdalev. Would rather take the risk Suzdalev turns out to be a stud than us give up our 2023 pick in such a stacked draft.

yea pretty much, especially if the caps aren't taking any salary back. that is basically what bottom 6 centers go for at the deadline -- larsson, jarnkrok, brassard all went for around that last year.
