You'd probably get a bigger return for Panarin and you won't have to pay to get rid of Goodrow. There are plenty of GM's who would take him right now.

Oh no no. Expect a smaller return, if any, for panarin. Big contract, north of 30, starting to slow down a hair. Teams aren’t champing at the bit to pay for that.

i'm not sure what exactly panarin's return would be, he's starting to decline and his cap hit is massive but you're still getting an established PPG player for three seasons so he presumably has value to a team with the cap space and title aspirations in that window. he also has a full NMC and can control where (if anywhere) he goes
