That Timo Meier trade is weak. Also, he's not signing in Winnipeg. You boys down there are really unrealistic about players not wanting to sign there. It's always the team on every players no-trade list.

I'm not a WPG fan but you don't seem to know what you're talking about. The players on their roster have been there for ages. They constantly are signing guys to long term deals. Players seems to love it in WPG. And I AM a sharks fan and that's a pretty decent return for Meier. Could maybe get a bit more, but Heinola is a guy who made an impact in the NHL right away, but is kind of stuck behind some other guys in that roster to not really get a chance. And Lucius has legitimate top 6 talent.

The guys that have signed long term are guys they drafted. And even then, they are guys that grew in that culture Big Buff built down there. They don't have that anymore. They are a decent team that has had a bounce back this year, and they will always be close to that high level- mainly because of the elite goalie- but the location will always be the #1 hindrance of whether a player not drafted by the team signs there.

Terrible trade for Florida.

Unless its a sign and trade, I would not make that deal with the sharks or else you have a PLD situation again. Florida isn't making that trade as with Hornquivst on LTIR and off the books next year, they have enough cap space for Duclair coming back this season and next.
