Blais has no value greater than future considerations at the moment. He played much better last night. He is of more value to us if he bounces back otherwise a bottom teams GM will take him for FC

I feel like FC is generally for older guys on terrible deals. Blais is obv not worth a penny over a mill rn but he's an RFA at the end of the year and still young

But who would pay for a struggling 4th line guy because they have the signing rights to him? What do you think his ceiling is? His ceiling is 3rd line while most players don’t get to their ceilings, he’s a solid 4th liner who brings energy and physicality when healthy and in form. He’s actually what we need so if he returns to that then Why move him. If he doesn’t return to that then who will aggressively pursue him enough to pay assets? Kravs a year ago at least had the potential of being a solid nhl player. Today we know he isn’t. But a year ago we could have made a lias Anderson type of trade based on potential. Blais doesn’t have either of their potential. He was always supposed to be bottom 6

Blais is a UFA after the season. Let's hope his play gets closer to the expectations after showing out in Hartford, 4 goals in 5g.
