Umm it's not terrible, but I think the Blues would go another way. These guys will both be popular.

Because that 1st rounder is going to be so late in the draft, PHI would likely look for a top prospect in return instead of Engvall. And someone would have to convince the dinosaurs leading the PHI organization that a full rebuild is in order….not sure they will get there anytime soon.

The picks are okay (likely low in the round), taking engvall is a pure cap dump to PHI, but ultimately not enough for a 25 yr old, under contract at just 5mil, and playing at a ppg level on a team that cant score and is missing 2 of its top 6 forwards.

It'll take those picks and probably a top 5 prospect in the system for Koneckny and them taking engvall, and even then it'll have to be a prospect they need/want, because ultimately Koneckny doesn;t have to be moved and his age/contract fits in fine with their re-tool/rebuild/whatever
