That's a huge no from Minnesota. The only reasons to trade Nino would be because he costs too much or we're getting an absolute haul in return.
$3.5 million is extremely doable for a new contract (also he's not going to be that cheap) so we wouldn't trade him if he was willing to sign for that. Deslauriers is of no value to us. He would maybe be a 4th liner if he got a lot better over the summer but even then it's a long shot. He's older, doesn't score, is an offensive black hole, and is a LW which is our deepest forward position. Adding a 3rd does nothing to improve the trade.
If you want to make a trade for Nino, there would have to be big pieces coming back which wouldn't include Kane because we want no part of him.
