Description

We're still only really showing up for like half of the games we play in but it's definitely obvious we need to round out the top-6 D and in desperate need of a skilled winger for the middle-6. Dunno about the price in each of these trades but respective fans are more than welcome to comment as to the cost/feasibility.

Dumba is probably too expensive; it would very likely take a 3rd party to eat some cap hit.

Cap hit shouldn't be an issue we've accrued a decent amount of space, but I don't see Minnesota helping us out, just to see us in the playoffs without a serious over payment.

I don't know about Laffy, Zary would kinda be a 1st for a 1st and they seem to be having some difficulty with him.

Yeah. I'm not sure what's going on with him either but I've seen some Ranger fans reacting the way we used to with Bennett; frustrated that it's not panned out and advocating for a change of scenery.

This year and the next, we're so close to the cap that moves just aren't easy and things really open up in 24/25 where we have lots of cap space and some veterans to build around.

Just curious what the ask is for Dumba these days. It isn't exactly a solid season for him this year.

I mean, he currently ranks in the 95th percentile in defense for all defenders league wide this year. So yeah, his offense hasn't been great, but he's actually been pretty good defensively speaking this year.

If he comes fully retained, he's absolutely worth a 1st.

Tre was adament about not trading our 2023 1st and our other 1sts are tied up in that thesis length conditional 1st clause.
