Devils get their top 6 scoring winger and Sharks get a future top 6 scoring winger. Meier is basically everything that the Devils want Holtz to be. Two similar players that fit into different time frames one for a rebuilding team and one for a contender. Let me know what you sharks/devils fans think.

With retention, you're looking at a first and Holtz at the very least. Jonnsson is a cap dump so probably a 3rd as well or a B prospect.

Keep in mind that Meier is a RFA, not UFA, so NJ has control over him. His QO is huge, but he could take a lover AAV on a long term contract, and at the very least they can get picks and prospects trading his rights. His price won't be cheap,

Didn’t know Hanteri was so sought after lol. Instead of him add any ahl player just to fit cap regulations and add Nolan Foote and I say that’s more than fair. Does salary retention really matter the sharks are rebuilding they can eat that cap for the rest of the season.
