Vancouver would really have to pay Chicago to take Miller, but if they're on the trajectory for Bedard as well, they don't want to give up their 2023 1st. So the condition I would attach to that 2024 1st, is that if the Canucks make the playoffs this year, it turns to a 2023 1st. It would kind of be a panic move, especially during this season, but I doubt a deal involving Miller will even come to pass anyway.

Not even sure what Chicago would send back, Vancouver doesn't necessarily need more offence, so I figured shoring up their defence makes the most sense.
