edm runs away from that. we aren't trading a solid player with great potential on a cheap deal, plus one of our best dmen at the moment for Dumba (defensive disaster), and Greenway who is a bottom 6 player. the 2nd doesn't do much either if the wild go deep.

Dumba retain easily gets a 1st. Besides Dylan Holloway, you gave nothing to Minnesota. So Minnesota isn't adding a 2nd or greenway

I could see Greenway fitting into Edmonton well, but it would likely be a retool trade like Puljujarvi + for Greenway

Dumba is a loooooong way from being a “defensive disaster”!! He’s a very good defender, in fact! He has a propensity to force passes 1-3 times a game that create turnovers (usually in the neutral zone), but he is very sound in the defensive end! He also appears to have gotten his shot and swagger back! I believe he will be a very important playoff performer this year whomever he is playing for.

Dumba ranks in the 95th percentile for defenders this year.
